| Soft golden buttercup yellow. | The aromas open like wild flowers in warm sunlight. First it’s cedar and pine, then the mango, honeydew melon and passion fruit emerge with just a squeeze of lemon and lime. Add a discernible note of fresh primrose and candied apple, plus the generous aromas of seductive pale sherry and you are now beginning to experience the harmony of Single Malt and Spanish Oak. Add just a little chocolate mint to complete this extraordinary olfactory adventure. | Medium weight with a delightful fruit syrup texture. It has all the elegance and finesse of a spirit that has been distilled really slowly. The mellow fruit texture coats the palate and the sweet oaky whisky flavour is in layers. It’s a sublime, beautifully structured spirit and all the aromas found on the nose can also be enjoyed in the taste, which is very rare. Very much a 19th hole experience. |
